Casa Maya is a jungle resort that was established in 1995, featuring quality, comfortable accommodations at reasonable prices. Our spacious thatched cabanas have private baths and hot showers and are tastefully appointed with a luxury jungle feel.

Casa Maya Resort is located near San Ignacio in the Cayo District of Belize, as may be seen in the Map of Belize. It is at 68.5 miles on the Western Highway. We are located almost 1 mile from the paved road, so it is away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to permit easy access to town, buses, and taxis.

Casa Maya Resort specializes in high adventure, interactive, rainforest jungle experiences. Our tours and treks are individually personalized for small groups staying at the resort, tutored by highly qualified professional guides. The adventurous types can trek lowland and upland jungles, the Maya Mountains, remote wilderness areas in the Chicabul and Mountain Pine Ridge, and wild rivers with rare and endangered birds and animals. We have a few deer, tayra (bush dog), fox, gibnut and other small animals in the jungle around the resort, but you will have to travel into more remote areas to see the large cats, crocodiles, tapir and other more rare tropical animals.
